From bits & pieces I have seen it is a very competitive series. Only just recently there was a big pile up at the Pukekohe track due to cars being so tightly packed while racing. See story and attached pic
Big Crash Halts BNT V8s (9/11/2008)
Seconds after the start of the second race in the BNT V8s Championship at Pukekohe a seven-car crash has halted racing as the track is cleared and safety fences rebuilt.
Until in-car camera footage is assessed by officials it’s difficult to know how the incident started, but the end result saw Chris Adams’ and Boyd Norwood’s car over the safety fence, while the cars of Nick Ross, Cam Hardy, Alan McCarrison, Angus Fogg and Tim Edgell were strewn the left hand side of Pukekohe’s first sweeper.
The mid-field incident saw the cars of Andy Booth and Andrew Porter, and possibly others, damaged but continue running.
No drivers were injured and all drivers climbed out of their cars as safety officials attended the scene.
Officials estimate the clear-up will take up to an hour before the BNT V8s can resume racing in their second of three races this weekend in the Hydraulink 200.
Here are names of Drivers who have raced in V8supercars that race in this series.
Craig Baird, David Besnard, Paul Radisich, Steve Owen, John McIntyre, Kayne Scott, Andy Booth and Angus Fogg. Some of these drove very early in the V8s.
Also Inky Tulloch drives in this series and races Trucks here in Australia and is current Australian Truck Champion.
